A. Rest is incredibly important when you are trying to gain muscle. There are supplements that will assist in muscle recovery that can be purchased at a vitamin store. There should be at least one day per week that you do not do any exercise so that all muscles have rest. Continue to alternate days i.e. Arms, chest back every other day, and legs on the other days. Be sure to get at least 7.5 hours of sleep and to eat healthy meals containing proteins, fruits, and vegetables. Don't forget to REST!

How to heal a bad reaction to skin caused my retinol?
Q. I purchased an over the counter cleanser and moisturizer that contained retinol and I had an allergic reaction to it. It really dried out and irritated my face. It's kinda flaky right not it use to sting and was really red but that has gone down. I thought retinol was suppose to be good for your skin. (it was a very low dosage they were over the counter products). Anyways is there something I can do to heal up my skin or should I just let it heal on it's own? At this point a moisturizer stings my skin so i cannot use that

A. The only thing that *may* work right now is petroleum jelly (unscented). I wouldn't try anything else at this point. Nothing is going to heal it other than time. It takes about 2-4 weeks for new skin cells to reach the surface. Until then, petroleum jelly may help to minimize any burning or pain you may feel. Retinol is NOT good for your skin and should only be used under the advice of a dermatologist. Any skin care that burns or tingles is NOT good for your skin no matter what the sales person tells you. A. They will heal on their own. Make sure that you keep them very clean. Its very easy to get an infection while a piercing is closing because bacteria can be sealed into your body and of course no one wants a permanent infection in their nipple lol. Just use alcohol or poroxide on it a couple times a day.

Q. I am a clarinet student and have recetly run into a huge issue of my teeth having cut into my bottom lip as well as creating something like a sore. I practice 1-2 hours everyday, so this injury is obviously an issue. I'm not looking for ways to prevent cutting (I already use a product to cover my teeth), I only need a way to heal the current issues. A. It will heal in its own good time. I was recommend to wear tight fitting briefs or a jockstrap for a couple of weeks after I was circumcised. Healing should take from 4 to 6 weeks before resuming any sexual activities due to the risk of the wound opening up. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't enjoy your day out at the amusement park this sunday, just be a little careful that's all.

A. If you are currently taking accutane than you know all the risks involved but we have great sucess with the people who take it. you can try something gentle like cetaphil cleanser. I would also try appling aquaphor (its over the counter) on just the scabs and sleep in it. It is very thick but you dont need much. I would wash with something other than soap it is drying and more than likely not helping your condition. Good Luck

A. Well, if he is getting at it, you might want to put an E collar on him, one of those cone collars, so he can not reach it. Neosporin can be used on the wound to help it heal. Hydrogen Peroxide to help bubble out any infection and clean the wound first, then the neosporin.

Well, my dad is a doctor, and this is what he said: " In such a case it is possible to get infection, so the wound needs to be closed in order to prevent this. theoretically, the skin should start healing itself, but if this doesn't happen it should be covered with a band aid temporarily to prevent infection, alcohol also works great but i think that she has a different problem, it may be because of another medical problem such as diabetes, there are also other diseases out there that cause super slow healing, i would need to examine you, the best thing to do is go to your local doctor for diagnose...good luck!"

A. I had a similar problem and my daughter did as well. What worked for me is hot compresses on my nose. After the compress, I cleaned the piercing with saline solution and peroxide. I did this for a few days and the bump finally began to disappear. I would also recommend not wearing make-up near your nose ring. It can cause irritation and swelling.

A. Hello, I am a tattoo artist and body piercer and have been at it for around 15 years now. The eyebrow piercing itself does not hurt at all - at least mine didn't and I have done mine twice. Pushing through the scar tissue on the second time around was a little more painful but I'd still say 2/10. The healing process takes a couple weeks before it stops hurting when you touch it. Even though it quits hurting, it's still not healed though. Be sure to leave it in for a minimum of 6 weeks before changing the jewelry. A. YES! but do so wuickly! This is known as splay legs! Make sure his nesting material is ***thick*** so that is will support his legs under him as they develop. Do this with all young birds. I like aspen pine shavings, as do many others. in a pinch used shredded newspapers thickly, but get ahold of aspen or something similar quick.
